1. Senate Bill 1275 – "Bringing Useful Initiatives for Indian Land Use Act (BUIILD) of 2017." The "stripped down" Senate Indian Affairs Committee's version of NAHASDA re-authoriztion.

2. Senate Bill 1333 – "Tribal HUD VASH Act of 2017." To make the Tribal HUD Veterans Supportive Housing vouchers a permanent program.

3. July 17, 2017 memo from House Financial Services Committee announcing NAHASDA oversight field hearing at Lac Courte Oreilles reservation and witness list. Note: the memo instructs witnesses to comment on House Bill 360 – the 2015 House version of NAHASDA reauthorization that passed the House, but went no further.

4. April 25, 2017 U.S. Supreme Court opinion in Lewis v. Clarke (No. 15-1500). In which the Court announced a new precedent that individual tribal employees who are sued in their individual capacity cannot claim qualified immunity even for actions taken legally in the course of their employment with the tribe.

5. July 10, 2017 unnumbered draft House appropriations Bill. Selected excerpts with proposed funding levels for NAHASDA and ICDBG programs highlighted. These figures propose maintaining funding that the President's budget proposed reducing or zeroing out.
